I’m Matt. I’m a wedding and events DJ based in Bolton, and I’ve spent the last nine years behind the decks across the North West — at places like Colshaw Hall, Mitton Hall, Holmes Mill, Rivington Barn and Manchester Hall.
The job isn't really about the playlist. It's about the room — a mix of ages, a floor that can empty straight after the first dance, and the one uncle who'll dance to anything. My job is to read all that as the night unfolds and keep the floor busy, not to work through a set I decided on weeks ago.
