Where is Matt based and how far does he travel?
Matt is based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, and regularly performs at weddings and events across Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and the wider North West of England. If your venue is a little further afield, just ask.
What's included in a package?
Every package includes Matt as your DJ along with all the sound and lighting equipment needed on the day. Evening packages are £500 midweek (Monday to Friday) and £550 at weekends and on bank holidays, and full-day hosting is £750. Uplighting can be added for £100, or a premium lighting and upgraded speaker bundle for £200.
Can we choose the music and make requests?
Yes. Matt builds your set around your must-play songs and any tracks you'd rather avoid, welcomes guest requests on the night, and reads the room to keep the dance floor busy.
Do you offer live musicians as well as the DJ?
Yes — live saxophone and percussion are available as add-ons to perform alongside the DJ set and lift the atmosphere.
Do you only do weddings?
No — as well as weddings, Matt provides entertainment for private parties, birthdays, anniversaries and corporate functions.
How do we check availability and book?
Send an enquiry through the contact form or the AI booking assistant with your date and venue, and Matt will confirm availability and put together a tailored quote. You book directly with Matt.
Are you insured and is your equipment PAT tested?
Yes to both. Matt holds public liability insurance and all equipment is PAT tested. Most venues ask suppliers for these, and certificates can be sent directly to your venue's events team on request.
Have you played at our venue before?
Quite possibly — Matt has played 35 venues across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside, including Colshaw Hall, Mitton Hall, Holmes Mill, The Midland Hotel, Manchester Hall, Haigh Hall and The Mere. You can see the full list on the
venues page. If yours isn't listed, that's no problem at all — Matt will liaise with your venue ahead of the day.
How do we pay, and is a deposit required?
Your booking is confirmed in writing and secured with a deposit, which you can pay securely online. The remaining balance is arranged with Matt directly ahead of your event.
How far in advance should we book?
Popular dates — especially summer Saturdays — tend to get booked up well in advance, so it's worth getting in touch as early as you can to secure your date.
